I am an actress and stage director working in Athens, Greece. I trained at “Art Theater - Karolos Koun” and I am a graduate student at the MA of Theater Studies at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.
My work focuses on devised theater and psychophysical acting. I believe in playfulness and creativity as the key elements of a performance. When working on a character, I am always searching for the meeting point between reality and fantasy, in order to produce powerful and poetic images.
In 2017, I received “Best Performance” Award by Eupolis Theater Festival, for my interpretation of “Iliad, 3rd rhapsody” and 2nd Award by Bob Festival Scratch Nights, for the collective project “The revolution will not have wifi”.
I co-created with Gerasimos Gennatas and starred in the solo performance “Eros, a one winged flaneur”, a stand up comedy with more than twenty characters, discussing the labors of Love during the pandemic.
As a stage director, I adapted Chekhov’s seminal play: “The Cherry Orchard” and the novels “Places are sounds” by Yiannis Zouganelis and “The divine Goat” by Yiannis Skarimbas.
In film, I am credited in “December Riots” by Dimitris Vorris, “Final Bell” and “The Brawl” by Konstantinos Spanomaridis.
I hold degrees in Architectural Engineering and Economics and I am interested in how Theater can build a sense of community and strengthen social cohesion.
I enjoy long walks in nature and playing melancholic sonatas on my double bass. 🎶
